Chef Bodington's Summer Tips

 

  • Don't use a fork to turn the meat when grilling, piercing causes the juices to escape. A long-handled spatula or tong is more appropriate. Let meat rest for 5 minutes after removing from the grill, this allows the juices to get reabsorbed.

  • Grow basil and make pesto; they're both really easy. Basil is one of the easiest herbs to grow in your summer garden. It grows best in warm conditions and likes plenty of sunshine, so place it where it will get a full day's sun. Always pick the leaves from the top of the plant first.
